Bijni Bidyapith H.S. School, the leading provincialised Bengali medium educational institution of
Bijni Sub-Division in the district of Chirang, (BTR) Assam, was founded on 28th January in the year 1957 with a
view to cater the demand of large section of Bengali Diaspora residing in the locality for a long period of time.
The school was upgraded from high to higher secondary in the year 1985 and it was amalgamated in the year 2017
comprising of classes KA Shreni to XII. It is worthwhile to mention that unlike Bengali, which is the medium of
instruction up to class X, Assamese is the sole medium of instruction in classes XI and XII.
Ever since its establishment, the school has been effectively providing quality education for all. The SMDC of
school strongly believes in the active participation of people from cross sections of society to face the challenges
of present time. Apart from imparting emphasis on scholastic arena, the school focuses on all round development of
its pupils. In order to fulfil the hopes and aspirations of parents, guardians and society at large and to transform
the school into a centre of excellence, the teaching community of the school usually devote themselves in the field
of teaching and as a consequence of it, the school could have procured “A Plus” Grade in Gunotsav in the year 2018.
Moreover, it has produced a bouquet of talents who by now have ornamented the prestigeous positions across the
country. Presently, the result of H.S.L.C and H.S. Final Examination is also enviable.
The world at present, is changing at an alarming rate. Our school is well equipped to prepare our children to face the challenges. Even as we impart education to match the
advancement in technology and globalization, we march our children ahead with moral values and principles also so
that they can turn themselves to become sensitive and responsible citizen of the future.
